Configure Postfix; the relevant settings to be tweaked are presented:

Assumptions

Install Logwatch

# emerge logwatch -va

Set root's ~/.forward file to: 

admin@siat.sfu.ca
some_co_amin_name@sfu.ca

Test

# logwatch.pl
